So, I bought a sample of boards that allegedly came from a tractor barn in the midwest, I say allegedly because I don’t really know the person who sold them to me, just his story. He told me that his grandfather had built the structure during the 1920 as a “temporary” place to park farm tractors but the winter of 2018 was to much for it. Sounds believable but I don’t want you buying something that I can’t prove what it is or it’s age.

So as I waited for the shipment to get here I reached out to the people who make our forms and told them I had wood coming on from the 1920’s, the Roaring Twenties, and since that was basically the birth of the Art Deco style could they make a form where the words would match the Art Deco time period…and here we go.

I’m sure most of you don’t know that I have a thing, A THING, about fonts (yeah weird) and I spend an inordinate amount of time looking at letters, their shape and style. I like this font, don’t dig the “L” that much but if/when bb and I get the machine that can cut this stuff ourselves I have sketched out some “Art Deco-ish” letter that run more to the subclass of “Streamline.” that I will be really excited about.

But I do like this, it’s very different from all the other fonts we use, so give it a shot.
